First Post !

Alrighty everyoneeeee, my first post. :D

Okay so I think a little introduction is in order. Obviously I'm an Admin for Check This Word, along with my buddy Daniel. So my name's Dylan, I'm 16, I'm from Toronto, Canada. I'm Native American and Newfie (Newfoundlander for the people who don't know:P). Odd combo eh? Yeah I use "eh" a lot. Music! Too many bands to list, so I'll list a few. Paramore, Escape the Fate, Underoath, Nickelback, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Faber Drive, etc. That kind of new rock stuff. OH. And Bullet for my Valentine. Can't forget the only metal band I can ACTUALLY LISTEN TOO.


So my first topic is going to be the 2009 Maxim Hot 100 that came out last week. I was stoked when I heard it was out, so I went online to check it out. Dude, talk about disappointment (if I spelt that wrong, well, then fuck you. I don't care). There was a lot of girls on that list that should have been shifted around in order A LOT. And even a few that shouldn't be on there at all. The biggest shocker for me is Lindsay Lohan. There is no reason at all that she should be on this list. She is the definition of what hot ISN'T. To make matters even worse, she's #23 on the list !! Really?!?!!!? Whatever they're smoking, I sure as hell want some of that. She beat out the likes of Angelina Jolie, Scarlett Johansson, Taylor Swift, Ashley Tisdale, Emma Watson, and even Hayden Panetierre. Like come on, Hayden? Really?? After watching her in that Bring It On marathon this past weekend on Much, thats appalling to me. Britney Spears got #17... O_O Whyyyyyyyy??? Sure any straight male would probably do her if they had the chance but like there's literally 800000000000000000000 other girls better than her. And wanna know the real kicker in this list? MICHELLE OBAMA. Like seriously... is that a typo or did the Prez pay them off? She's worse than Spears. Probably a toss-up between her and Lohan but that's besides the point! Like how old is this chick? I honestly didnt know so I found out she's 45. (thanks Wikipedia) That really makes no sense at all. Another thing, why are so many of the girls on this list so... "plastic?" Like okay I didn't really expect to see some one like Hayley Williams or Cassadee Pope on this list but it would've been really nice. You know, people who aren't plastic and fake and so glossed up. People that seem NORMAL. But like always they never get on this stuff even though they're the definition of hotness. It still pisses me off to not see them on there.
So Olivia Wilde got #1 eh? Thats a pretty hefty title if I do say so myself. No doubt, shes incredibly hot. But to be honest, I think I'm actually going to go with Maxim on this one. It's nice to see not see Megan Fox as #1. It gets a bit stale after a while, and I'm not even a fan of her in the slightest. But hey, she got #2. #3 was kinda weird, some supermodel Israeli chick. Yeah I guess she's sort of hot in a way? Like a strange way... But her body just looks so... odd. Like she's the opposite of Kirsten Dunst. Kirsten has a hot body but a weird face. This Israeli girl has a pretty nice face, but the body makes you take a second look. In a bad way. So I guess that's all for my opinion on the 2009 Maxim Hot 100. Don't agree, or do you agree? Either way I don't give a shit. Check out the list online to see what I mean about all this stuff.
